• Nattokinase is an isolated fibrinolytic enzyme which resembles plasmin, and is derived from a traditional Japanese food, Natto. It was originally discovered by Dr. Hiroyuki Sumi .
• Nattokinase is derived from the vegetable cheese, Natto, a typical and popular fermented soybean food in Japan. Nattokinase was later re-discovered by Dr. Sumi and research has found it to be most promising as an ideal oral fibrinolytic agent -- not only reversing clots but in preventing them and modulating the clotting process in ways that help re-establish coagulation homeostasis.
• The Serrapeptase in this formula is a non-animal, proteolytic enzyme derived from a controlled fermentation of the bacterial strain Serratia spp. Research is suggesting that it may have potent anti-inflammatory effect.
• Serrapeptase a proteolytic enzyme that has fibrinolytic, anti-edemic, and anti-inflammatory activity. Dr. Hans Nieper called it the "Miracle Enzyme" and used it to open clogged arteries supplying blood to the brain. Clinical trials have found it particularly beneficial for relieving post-surgical swelling, sports trauma inflammation, fibrocystic breast disease, and upper respiratory tract conditions.
• Serrapeptase can alter the elasticity and viscosity of the dense mucus produced in people with respiratory disease. Unlike some muco-active drugs, the enzyme does not cause a depletion of mucus. People with sinusitis, bronchitis, asthma, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease also show improved structure and function of the mucus lining after taking serrapeptase. Proteolytic enzymes should be taken on an empty stomach for anti-inflammatory and other non-digestive effects.
