In October of 1995, I had visited my periodontist, and they make an appointment to do another operation to shave my gums to stop the receding, and they were going to do a tetracycline implant. I was told that this would be a temporary measure, and that next thing that they would have to do, would be to remove my teeth. to my unending questions to my doctor, asking if there was anything else that could be done, the answer was as usual, "No, if there was, don't you think we would use it."

When I returned form the doctor's office my wife saw my hopeless situation, and decided that we had nothing to lose, we would try to find a remedy ourselves. PS: We have found several other factors that are important in controlling gum disease, they are the following:

***Keep regular dental appointments to have your teeth cleaned.
***Floss everyday!!
***Take a natural food source multivitamin and make sure you are getting enough        Vitamin C and Calcium.
***We used an herbal colon cleanser (available at any health food store) at the beginning of treatment and found it beneficial to remove toxins that accumulate from the gum disease.
***Tobacco smoking is associated with increased susceptibility to severe periodontal disease and tooth loss.

There are also a variety of herbal supplements that are known to promote immunity and have anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties, while we could have used several different herbal supplements, we preferred to use Myrrh oil and clove oil. The essential oils used in the manufacture of VITA-MYR, are not processed with benzene.
